Williams-Sonoma Mgr., SEC Settle Insider Trading Suit

Law360, New York (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former manager at Williams-Sonoma Inc. has agreed to pay nearly $150,000 to settle charges that he traded on insider information about lowered sales projections for Pottery Barn, a Williams-Sonoma brand.

Adrian P. Di Vita filed a settlement with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Friday in response to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission complaint alleging that he had violated anti-fraud provisions of the federal security laws. He did not admit to or deny the charges.
