EU Targets Major Detergent Makers In Cartel Probe

Law360, New York (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Union's antitrust watchdog has confirmed that investigators raided the offices of several major household products makers as part of its ongoing probe into possible price collusion on detergents.

Companies subject to the surprise visits were not identified by the European Commission, but Unilever NV, Procter & Gamble, Henkel KgaA and Sara Lee Corp. have all confirmed they were targeted by the watchdog, according to reports.
