$3M Sliced From Award To Ex-Sonnenschein Lawyer

Law360, New York (June 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has upheld a jury verdict in favor of an antitrust lawyer who claimed his former employer, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, cheated him of his share of a $2.7 billion settlement, but cut the jury's award from $3.7 million to about $66,000.

On June 19, Judge Melvin R. Wright of the Superior Court for the District of Columbia denied Sonnenschein's motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict but granted its motion to amend the judgment for plaintiff Douglas Rosenthal, lowering it to $65,639, according to...
