FERC Preapproves BP-Conoco Alaska Pipeline Project

Law360, New York (June 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has granted prefiling approval to the Denali natural gas pipeline project on Alaska’s North Slope jointly proposed by BP Plc and ConocoPhillips Co., allowing the consortium to start working on a proposal for the project.

In a letter to Denali’s President Bud Fackrell on Wednesday, FERC said it would work with Denali and its stakeholders as the company moves toward filing its application seeking final approval of the project in August 2011.
