In BLM Reversal, Solar Projects To See Light Of Day

Law360 (July 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Bureau of Land Management will continue to accept new applications for solar projects on public lands while it studies the environmental impact of such projects, the agency announced Wednesday.

The announcement is a reversal of an earlier decision to halt accepting and processing new applications during the two-year environmental study.

About a month ago, the agency said it would stop accepting new applications while it figured out how to streamline the application process and reviewed 125 pending applications.
