SEC Streamlines SRO Rule-Filing Processes

Law360, New York (July 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Responding to industry complaints about process delays, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has published a final rule and new guidance governing the rule-making processes of securities exchanges and self-regulatory organizations.

The SEC published its revised rules Thursday, just over a week after the commission voted to approve the measure at an open meeting on June 25.
