Delphi Plans To Build Up Operations In India

Law360, New York (April 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Steering some more of its business abroad, bankrupt auto parts maker Delphi Corp. has announced plans to invest $10 million over the next two years to boost production at its Bangalore plant in India.

Delphi, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States in October 2005, is looking to reinforce its position in the Indian market to capture the substantial growth with current and new customers, according to Delphi executive James Ray.
