Obama Proposes Changes To Bankruptcy Laws

Law360, New York (July 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a town hall meeting held Tuesday outside Atlanta, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) presented his updated platform on the economy with specific plans to speed up the bankruptcy process for military families, help senior citizens hold onto their homes and protect victims of natural disasters.

The proposals expand Obama's bankruptcy reform agenda, which seeks to protect working people, ban executive bonuses for bankrupt companies and require disclosure of all pension investments.
