EU Court Backs Fine Against Co. That Aided Cartel

Law360, New York (July 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Court of First Instance on Tuesday upheld the European Commission's finding that Zurich-based consulting company AC-Treuhand AG violated competition laws when it participated in an organic peroxide cartel.

In March 2004, AC-Treuhand AG challenged the European Commission's decision to fine it €1,000 ($1,566) for helping to orchestrate the cartel between 1993 and 1999.
