Anheuser Takes InBev To Court Over Takeover Bid

Law360, New York (July 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Anheuser-Busch Co. Inc. has filed a lawsuit against hostile merger suitor InBev, accusing the Belgian brewer of an illegal scheme to buy the U.S. beer maker at a bargain price.

The suit follows InBev's effort to unseat Anheuser's board of directors, which rebuffed its rival's $46 billion offer to combine in favor of an ambitious cost-cutting plan.
