Court Greenlights Anchor Glass Reorganization Plan

Law360 (April 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After overcoming objections from the U.S. Trustee overseeing its Chapter 11 proceedings, Anchor Glass Container Corp. said this week its reorganization plan has been confirmed by a Florida bankruptcy court.

The Tampa-based company also announced that it expects to emerge from Chapter 11 protection in early May.

Anchor Glass, the third-largest manufacturer of glass containers in the U.S., has filed for bankruptcy three times in the last ten years, with its most recent filed in August 2005.
