Judge Denies Honeywell Stay In Turbo Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A North Carolina federal judge has denied global manufacturer Honeywell International Inc.'s motion for stay, the latest development in a yearlong patent spat with competitor BorgWarner Inc. over turbocharger technologies.

Honeywell filed its motion in May after the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted a request to re-examine one of the patents in question in light of a “a substantial new question of patentability,” the motion said.
