Tenn. Commerce Bancorp Sued For Firing CFO

Law360, New York (July 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former chief financial officer of Tennessee Commerce Bancorp Inc., a publicly traded bank holding company, has sued his former employer for firing him after he raised questions about fraud at the bank.

In the complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, George W. Fort sued Tennessee Bancorp for breaching his employment contract by firing him after he reported possible fraudulent business practices at the bank to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
