USDA To List Stores Receiving Bad Meat

Law360 (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a rash of meat recalls including the largest in U.S. history, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Friday that it will list the stores that received meat and poultry posing the most serious hazards.

Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer said that next month the USDA will begin posting a list of stores on its Food Safety Inspection Service Web site within three to 10 business days of a Class I recall, the highest risk category.
