Bankruptcy Lawyers: Older, Male And Well-Paid

Law360, New York (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankruptcy lawyers at the 250 largest firms in the U.S. are better-paid than many of their peers and are likely to be older than those in other practice groups and to be male, a Law360 survey has found.

A total of 227 bankruptcy lawyers responded to the survey, 37% of whom reported making more than $300,000 a year. That was above the 32% average for the entire survey, which covered 11 practice areas. Energy and securities practice groups had the highest percentages of lawyers who made...
