Ohio Supreme Court Squashes Local Fracking Bans

Law360, New York (February 17, 2015, 2:57 PM EST) -- A split Ohio Supreme Court said Monday that local governments may not enact fracking bans because the state has "sole and exclusive" authority over oil and gas regulations, clearing the way for a proposed Beck Energy Corp. well to proceed.
