Lawyers See Benefits To Online Social Networking

Law360, New York (July 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Online social networks are growing more popular with lawyers, and many believe professional networking is going to transform how law is practiced in the near future, according to a survey by a consulting firm.

The survey, released by consultancy firm Leader Networks last week and commissioned by legal marketing firm LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, showed that about half of lawyers are members of online social networks, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and MySpace, and more than 40% of attorneys see online networking as having the potential to change the...
