EU Will Bring New Charges Against Intel: Report

Law360, New York (July 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission is reportedly planning to file new antitrust charges against computer chip giant Intel Corp. as part of its ongoing investigation into the company.

The new charges will allege that Intel induced European retailers not to sell computer containing chips made by its rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc., the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing anonymous sources. The charges may be filed this week, the Journal reported.
