N.H. Delivery Drivers Now Eligible For Overtime

Law360, New York (July 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New Hampshire law has deemed delivery drivers and sales merchandisers eligible to receive overtime pay and has also changed the formula used to calculate overtime pay for all employees paid on a base salary and commission basis.

The New Hampshire Legislature passed the bill, “An Act Relative to the Minimum Hourly Rate of Compensation,” in January. The law was enacted July 6 without the signature of New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch and will go into effect on Sept. 4.
