IP Practice: Akin Gump

Law360 (July 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Both the economic turmoil at home and emerging markets abroad are affecting patent litigation in the U.S., as an increasingly diverse group of companies fights to retain market share and attack both established and would-be competitors, say the intellectual property lawyers at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.

The number of intellectual property suits filed in district courts has basically remained consistent over the past year, but disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission have been on the rise, they say.
