Court Nixes FERC's Approval Of Dominion LNG Plant

Law360, New York (July 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has revoked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's approval of plans to expand a liquefied natural gas terminal in Maryland, finding that the project could cause leaks at a distribution company that receives gas from the facility.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled Friday in favor of Washington Gas Light Co., which had asked the court to review FERC's approval of the expansion of the Cove Point LNG Terminal owned by Dominion Resources.
