Broker Can't Expunge State Records: D.C. Circ.

Law360, New York (July 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that the state of Maryland has the right to prevent records of consumer complaints against stockbrokers from being expunged.

Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler announced on Monday that the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled on July 15 that the state of Maryland has the right to participate in a case regarding national stockbrokerage licensing and registration.
