Judge Nixes Discrimination Suit Against D.C. Firm

Law360 (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a discrimination suit that accused real estate tax law firm Wilkes Artis Chartered of illegally firing an employee who had gone on medical leave.

Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled Monday that the plaintiff failed to make her case under the Family Medical Leave Act and Americans With Disabilities Act and granted the firm's motion to dismiss.
