Florida Intl. University To Pay $2.5M In Race Bias Suit

Law360, New York (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former Florida International University employee has been awarded $2.5 million after a jury found that the university fired him because he is black.

The jury's decision, handed down in the Circuit Court of the 11th Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade, Fla., on Friday, stated that Sean st. Louis was not rehired for a comparable position for the same reason.
