General Mills Sues Union Over Arbitration Award

Law360, New York (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- General Mills Operations LLC has asked a court to vacate a finding that it reinstate a terminated employee because the arbitrator was biased and the award rendered violates public policy.

In a lawsuit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, General Mills asked a judge to overturn the finding for Truck Drivers, Helpers, Taxicab Drivers, Garage Employees and Airport Employees Local Union 355, which represents the company's production and maintenance employees in a Maryland plant.
