IP Blacklist Points To China and Russia

Law360, New York (May 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- China and Russia topped the list as the most serious offenders of intellectual property laws and enforcement, according to the U.S. Trade Representative’s “Special 301” report to Congress.

The report noted that 48 countries either had inadequate IP laws set up, poor enforcement of those laws, or both.

The USTR plans to heighten its scrutiny of China, which was on the priority watch list last year as well.
