Puget Sound Energy Strikes Deal Over Buyout Plan

Law360, New York (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Washington state utility company Puget Sound Energy Inc. and a group of private equity investors aiming to acquire the utility for $7.4 billion have reached a settlement with several parties that had opposed the deal, which is currently being reviewed by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.
