Ex-Tyco Attorney To Pay $100,000 In SEC Settlement

Law360, New York (May 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Acquitted of securities fraud two years ago, the former general counsel of Tyco International Ltd. has agreed to shell out $100,000 to settle charges with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over $14 million in undisclosed loans.

On Tuesday, the agency revealed that Tyco’s former corporate counsel Mark Belnick will pay thousands of dollars in a civil penalty, marking the end of a nearly four-year investigation.
