Countrywide Sues Ex-Manager For 'Raiding' Ranks

Law360, New York (July 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Countrywide Home Loans Inc. has accused a former manager of violating an employment agreement by leaving for rival SpiritBank, then “raiding” Countrywide's Tulsa and Oklahoma City offices and hiring six of its employees.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, claims that Scott A. Veitch violated his contractual obligations by soliciting Countrywide's employees when he jumped ship to SpiritMortgage, a division of SpiritBank.
