DLA Piper Atty Killing Robbery Gone Wrong, Prosecutors Say

Law360, Washington (April 2, 2015, 6:33 PM EDT) -- A Washington, D.C., judge refused to grant bail Wednesday to a woman charged with the murder of DLA Piper attorney David Messerschmitt, after what prosecutors alleged was a vicious stabbing resulting from a robbery gone wrong.

The defendant, 21-year-old Jamyra Gallmon, pled not guilty to one charge of first-degree felony murder while armed in an arraignment hearing in D.C.
