Downturn Aside, Law Firms Plump Up Perks

Law360, New York (July 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Despite belt tightening at law firms, many have sweetened the benefits they give their attorneys. Lawyers can now spend more time at home when they become new parents, and some can also rely on their firms for help in caring for elderly parents.

Members of lawyer recruitment firms and performance consultant firms said that they don't anticipate that law firms will scale back on such benefits in the current economic downturn. If any perks are eliminated, it will be the frills like concierge services, yoga sessions...
