NC Shutters Compounding Pharmacy, Recalls Drugs

Law360, New York (April 2, 2015, 6:39 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday told health care professionals and patients to avoid using products from a Fayetteville, North Carolina, compounding pharmacy after the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy closed the facility and issued a recall of its products.

In joint warnings, the agencies said a routine inspection by the board in March found that the Prescription Center pharmacy fell significantly short of sterility, stability and potency standards for the sterile and nonsterile human and veterinary drug products it produced and packaged....
