Pa. Sen. Slams State's Process For Gas Drilling Rulemaking

Law360, Philadelphia (April 2, 2015, 3:11 PM EDT) -- The head of the Pennsylvania Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee accused state regulators on Wednesday of rushing new rules governing surface operations at oil and gas well sites after unveiling a sweeping set of changes to the proposal in March.

Sen. Gene Yaw, R-Bradford, said that the department was allowing only the minimum amount of time for public comment despite releasing a sweeping set of revisions in March in the wake of an unprecedented nine prior hearings.
