False Ad Suit Over EFCA Heats Up Minn. Senate Race

Law360, New York (July 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A heated battle over the Employee Free Choice Act has worked its way into the courts in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party filed complaints against two groups that oppose the act for allegedly making false statements in advertisements about candidates in the upcoming U.S. Senate election.

The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party filed the complaints Wednesday with the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings against Coalition for a Democratic Workplace and Minnesotans for Employee Freedom.
