Putative Class Rep Seeks Ch. 7 In Sharper Image Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A representative of a proposed putative class of Sharper Image Corp. gift card holders has asked the bankruptcy court to shift the home gadgetry store from Chapter 11 to a Chapter 7 proceeding, saying that such a move would maximize the recoveries available for the priority creditors.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Frederic B. Prohov asked that the case be converted because it would lower administrative costs and protect the rights of priority creditors.
