USPTO's Second-In-Command To Leave Post

Law360, New York (July 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's second-in-command, Margaret J.A. Peterlin, has announced that she will leave her post in order to pursue a career in the private sector.

Peterlin joined the USPTO just over a year ago as deputy undersecretary of commerce for intellectual property and deputy director of the agency. She announced Tuesday that she plans to sign off in August.
