Entergy, NextEra Team Up For 81-MW Ark. Solar Plant

By Keith Goldberg (April 15, 2015, 3:04 PM EDT) -- Entergy Corp.'s Arkansas utility arm said Wednesday it has signed up to purchase power generated by an 81-megawatt solar plant being built in Arkansas County by clean energy developer NextEra Energy Resources LLC, the first large-scale solar plant in the state.

Entergy Arkansas said it has inked a 20-year power purchase agreement with NextEra for the Stuttgart Solar project, which will consist of an array of stationary solar panels covering nearly 500 acres and will be capable of generating enough electricity to power approximately 13,000 homes.
