Fla. Judge Delivers Split Decision In Gun Law Dispute

Law360, New York (July 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a split decision, the federal judge presiding over a bid to halt the controversial Florida workplace gun law has refused to entirely strike down the regulation but has moved to curb its reach.

On Monday, Chief U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle upheld a worker's right to keep a gun locked in a vehicle parked on work premises, with the right permit, but knocked down a customer's right to secure a gun in a vehicle, according to court documents.
