After Faruqi, More Female Attys To Sue For Sex Harassment

By Beth Winegarner (April 21, 2015, 5:58 PM EDT) -- In the wake of an ex-Faruqi & Faruqi associate's high-profile sexual assault and hostile workplace trial, female associates from at least two other law firms have filed suits alleging rampant sexism, and experts say the cases show that more women attorneys are ready to sue over sexual harassment.

Former Faruqi associate Alexandra Marchuk's attorney, Harry Lipman of Rottenberg Lipman Rich PC, says his phone has been ringing regularly since Marchuk sued the firm in 2013, and some of those calls are from women who've experienced sexism or discrimination at law firms.
