FDA Orders Stronger Warn Labels For Anemia Drugs

Law360, New York (July 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Anemia drugs marketed in recent years to many cancer patients will get stronger warning labels after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ordered the new language on Wednesday.

Two big pharmaceutical companies, Amgen and Johnson & Johnson, said Wednesday they'd comply with the latest orders - which come after months of negotiations - and would continue working with the government to minimize risks to patients from the billion-dollar products.
