Arco Faces Suit Over Mont. Superfund Site

Law360, New York (July 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Atlantic Richfield Co. and its parent BP Amoco Corp. are facing a lawsuit from over 100 individuals who allege that property they own near an Arco-owned milling and smelting site was contaminated by waste from the site.

The lawsuit was filed against Arco and BP in a Montana state court in April, amended in early July and removed by Arco to the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana on Wednesday.
