Judge Orders Bush Aides To Comply With Subpoena

Law360, New York (July 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge ruled on Thursday that President Bush’s top advisers are not protected from congressional subpoenas in connection with the House Judiciary Committee investigation of the controversial dismissal of nine U.S. Attorneys in 2006.

The 93-page opinion, issued by Judge John D. Bates of the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia, said that there is no precedent for granting White House aides immunity from subpoenas.
