Napster, BitTorrent Hit With Suit Over Internet Sales

Law360, New York (August 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Seattle-based company has accused Napster LLC and BitTorrent Inc. of infringing a patent regarding online purchases in two separate lawsuits.

The complaints, both filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware by CRS LLC, allege that Napster and BitTorrent infringed U.S. Patent Number 6,073,124, called "Method and system for securely incorporating electronic information into an online purchasing application."
