Sen. Stevens Pleads Not Guilty, Trial Date Is Set

Law360, New York (August 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) pled not guilty Thursday to concealing more than $250,000 in gifts from an oil industry contractor and was granted a trial date next month as he hopes to clear his name before this fall’s general election.
