FERC Report Finds Xcel Energy Violated Agency Rules

Law360, New York (August 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Xcel Energy Inc. has revealed that the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has issued a preliminary report alleging that the company violated FERC policies and rules related to the use of a transmission facility.

In regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the electricity and natural gas company disclosed that the preliminary report issued in July alleged that Xcel Energy had violated agency rules and approved tariffs.
