Label Makers Settle Antitrust Suit For $8.25M

Law360, New York (August 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has signed off on an $8.25 million settlement between purchasers of retail labels and two companies implicated in a conspiracy to fix prices in the industry.

Judge Thomas Vanaskie, overseeing antitrust litigation against the makers of pressure sensitive labelstock in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, gave final approval to the deal with UPM-Kymmene Corp. and wholly owned subsidiary Raflatac Inc. in an order Tuesday.
