Reed Smith Takes Hit In Overbilling Suit

Law360, New York (August 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a blow to Reed Smith LLP, a Pennsylvania state court judge has thrown out the lion's share of the firm's preliminary objections in a lawsuit brought by a religious nonprofit group over an allegedly padded $1 million defense bill for an employment case.

Judge Dominick Motto of the Court of Common Pleas of Lawrence County, Pa. knocked down four of Reed Smith's five preliminary objections to the counts on July 29, according to court documents made public Wednesday.
