British Airways Execs Hit With Price-Fixing Charges

Law360, New York (August 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The United Kingdom's competition watchdog has charged four British Airways Plc executives in connection with an alleged conspiracy with rival Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd. to fix prices for passenger fuel surcharges.

Britain's Office of Fair Trading said Thursday that it had charged Martin George, Andrew Crawley, Alan Burnett and Iain Burns with dishonestly agreeing with others to make or implement arrangements that directly or indirectly fixed prices charged by British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways on long-haul flights between July 2004 and April 2006.
