More Women Filling Top GC Ranks: Survey

Law360, New York (August 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The number of women general counsel at Fortune 500 companies continued to climb this year, although there are still more than four men for every woman, according to a survey from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.

The survey found that 92 of the 500 largest-grossing U.S. companies had women general counsel in 2008, up from 90 in 2007 and 83 in 2006. There were 44 women on the list when the MCCA conducted its first survey in 1999.
