9 Car Companies Sued Over Sensor Patent

Law360, New York (August 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Japanese company sued some of the biggest names in the auto industry on Wednesday, accusing nine defendants including Ford Motor Co., American Honda Motor Co. and GM Corp., of infringing a single patent covering a testing sensor.

Saitama, Japan-based Wacoh Co. filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin less than a month after the inventor of the patent at issue assigned his interest in the patent to the plaintiff, making Wacoh the sole owner, according to the complaint....
